We鈥檝e designed our BA in Biology program to integrate science and humanities courses to provide a well-rounded curriculum that gives you the freedom to explore your interests and tailor your degree to your career goals. Biology majors at Webster can choose between four areas of emphasis that include:

Additionally, as you earn your Biology bachelor鈥檚 degree, you鈥檒l have plenty of exciting opportunities to gain experience through real-world internships at organizations such as the Missouri Botanical Garden, the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, the Saint Louis Zoo and many more. Graduate with an impressive resume, a strong set of skills and knowledge in your topic of interest, and a foundation on which to build your career path.

 

Nursing 2+2 Dual Degrees in Biology and Nursing

To take advantage of Webster's 2+2 Program with Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing, students must:

  • Complete the requirements of the first two years of the BA in Biology program.
  • Complete the 黑料网 requirements associated with the the Global Citizenship Program prior to entering Goldfarb School of Nursing.
  • Check with the 黑料网 Financial Aid Office when considering this degree option and prior to applying to the program.
  • Apply to Goldfarb School of Nursing.

黑料网 and Goldfarb School of Nursing have partnered to provide a pathway for qualified Webster students to enter into .

Students selected for the 2+2 program will petition to graduate at the end of their fourth year and obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Goldfarb School of Nursing will accept prerequisite coursework from 黑料网.

NOTE: Due to volume of applicants, entry into Goldfarb School of Nursing is competitive. Consequently, it is possible an applicant will not be accepted into the 2+2 program. However, this should not prevent a student from applying to Goldfarb School of Nursing following completion of their BA Biology degree.

At the current time, the program is open to undergraduate students at the Webster Groves campus.

Under the agreement, Webster students in the Bachelor of Arts in Biology program can transfer up to 54 hours of pre-nursing coursework into Goldfarb鈥檚 Bachelor of Nursing program. Classes that will be interchangeable include certain science classes, such as anatomy and physiology, microbiology and genetics, as well as core liberal arts courses, like ethics, intro to sociology, public speaking and algebra. When students complete the program, they will earn a dual biology/nursing bachelor鈥檚 degree.
